2017 Australian Lonergan Workshop

Theme: Openness to the real and the good: questioning is the key, and truth will set us free

We gather biennially:

(1) to strengthen and develop our own grasp of Lonergan’s work,

(2) to strengthen and develop our grasp of how Lonergan’s work is being deployed in our own and others’ contexts

(3) to dispose ourselves to be used by God to draw on Lonergan’s work for good

Guest speakers:

Professor Matthew Ogilvie, School of Philosophy and Theology, Notre Dame University, Perth – Tom Daly Oration (Friday night)

Professor M. Shawn Copeland, Theology Department, Boston College – via video and Skype – Keynote presentation (Saturday morning)
